In March, 1997, Asphalt Surfaces commenced work on the Route 3 Expressway Project for Gammon Construction Ltd. Its role was to supply and place approximately 120,000 tonne of crushed rock sub-base material and 290,000 tonne of Marshall Asphalt material.

The company was able to complete the project in the limited time available, illustrating its ability to perform in accordance with qualty and quantity, even under very tight programme pressure. This ensured the opening date was achieved.

Asphalt Surfaces has proven to be a competent and professional company in all aspects of the supply and installation of asphalt products.

Chep Lap Kok Airport - Hong Kong

Over a three year period, the company, in collaboration with Lagan Asphalt, laid over 500,000 tonnes of asphalt on the runways of the new Chek Lap Kok airport in Hong Kong, making use of both hi-tech machines and quality asphalt to complete the project.

Under a strict ISO9000 Quality Assurance system, the surfaces were laid down and the project finished with no major setbacks.

Asphalt Surfaces continue to work in Hong Kong, with several major projects underway, including the River Trade Terminal in Tuen Mun (200,000t) - a new container port facility.
